A long-running summer show near Newchurch celebrating Isle of Wight garlic, with garlic food, chefs, music and family entertainment.

The Garlic Festival has been held on the third weekend of August since 1983, in fields at the Fighting Cocks Crossroads just outside Newchurch. Garlic grown nearby by The Garlic Farm is the star, and it turns up in everything from savoury dishes to sweet treats.

Alongside the food there are star chefs, live music, children's activities, a dog show, local charities and businesses, and the festival's own Garlic Queen.

Tickets include free parking and can also be bought at the gate (card and cash). There is no cash machine on site. Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome, and Southern Vectis buses stop outside Gate 1.
