A one-day celebration of the apple in Tenbury Wells, with a display of 250-plus varieties, juicing, cider and local food stalls.

Tenbury Wells, which calls itself 'the town in the orchard', holds this one-day apple festival on the Burgage on the first Saturday of October, 10am-4.30pm. Its centrepiece is a display of more than 250 apple varieties set up by the fruit tree nursery Frank P Matthews, whose staff give advice; visitors can match their own apples against it or bring a bagful to be pressed into juice by Appleteme.

Trade stands sell food, drink and crafts, cider producers offer tastings and bottles to take home, and there are catering stands and a licensed bar. Entertainment typically includes local bands, morris dancers, alpacas and classic cars. The organisers reported more than 1,500 visitors in 2024.

Tickets are bought on the gate and under-16s go free. Dogs on leads are allowed but should be kept away from food stands. Parking is in the town car park (charged), at the swimming pool or in the Palmers Meadow overflow car park.
