The flagship Taste Cumbria festival, a free weekend of Cumbrian producers, chef demos and music in Cockermouth's streets.

Taste Cumbria began in Cockermouth in 2010 to help the town recover from floods, and the September festival there is still the flagship of the series.

Around 70 producers line Main Street, with a demo stage for chef demonstrations, several music stages, street theatre, an art and craft fair, brewery tours at Jennings and live music in local pubs. In 2026 a Friday-evening gathering in the Market Place opened the weekend.

Most attractions are free (fairground rides are extra). Council car parks and a park and ride are available.
