A free one-day town-centre festival celebrating Pontefract's liquorice heritage, with food stalls and a liquorice parade.

Pontefract marks its long association with liquorice with a one-day festival in the town centre. More than 50 food and drink stalls sell local and regional produce and artisan goods.

A liquorice-themed parade runs twice during the day from the Town Hall to Pontefract Castle, and there are free family activities, heritage talks at the library and a Liquorice Food and Drink Trail around local venues.

Entry is free, and in 2026 a free park and ride ran from Pontefract Park.
