Wakefield's free winter festival celebrating rhubarb, with a food and drink market, chef demonstrations and talks.

Each February Wakefield celebrates rhubarb, the crop the area is famous for. The festival is based around the Cathedral Precinct and WX Wakefield Exchange, where a food and drink market of chalet stalls sells produce, many items with a rhubarb twist.

There are chef demonstrations, talks on growing and horticulture, and live music. A Rhubarb Food & Drink Trail, run with Wakefield BID, encourages visitors to try rhubarb-themed dishes and drinks in city-centre bars and restaurants.

Entry is free. The council lists accessible toilets, step-free access, assistance-dog facilities and BSL interpretation at selected events.
