A free one-day food festival that fills Newport city centre with stalls, street food and chef demos each autumn.

Newport Food Festival has been held since 2011 and is billed as a free family day out. Stalls of local produce, artisan food and drink and street food spread along High Street, Westgate Square and Bridge Street, with a dedicated street food and music zone in John Frost Square.

Chef demonstrations run through the day; the 2026 line-up included TV chef Clodagh McKenna alongside chefs from local restaurants and a young chefs' academy. There are also workshops, family activities and live music.

Newport railway station and several bus stops are a short walk away, and drivers are pointed to the city-centre car parks.
