The touring Great British Food Festival opens its season at Trentham Gardens near Stoke-on-Trent over the early May bank holiday weekend, with street food, a large artisan market, bars and live bands throughout the day.

The headline stage mixes chef demonstrations with light-hearted contests such as cake-offs and 'Beat the Chef', and there is a live-fire stage, paid hands-on 'Cook, Taste & Learn' sessions, a family challenge stage and children's cooking experiences. Tickets include access to Trentham's gardens, lake and children's playground, and dogs are welcome. In 2026 it opened 10am-6pm on Saturday and Sunday and until 5pm on the bank holiday Monday.
