Sidwell Street and Cheeke Street, Exeter, Devon · South West England
A free one-day street festival of West Country food and drink producers on Exeter's Sidwell Street.
Exeter Gate to Plate is part of the eat:Festivals family of free town-centre food festivals, run by a not-for-profit social enterprise. It takes over Sidwell Street and Cheeke Street for a Sunday in the autumn.
Visit Exeter bills it as the city's largest food and drink festival, with more than 120 producers and entertainers, most based within about 30 miles. There are plenty of vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and alcohol-free options, plus free entertainment from DJs, buskers and street performers. Entry is free with no booking, the layout leaves room for buggies and mobility scooters, dogs are welcome, and traders usually open from 10am to 4pm.
