A one-day November festival on Clovelly's quay celebrating herring, with smoked fish, local food stalls and family entertainment.

Each November the North Devon village of Clovelly celebrates the arrival of the herring, the 'silver darlings', and promotes sustainable fishing for this oily fish.

On the quay there are herring dishes, fresh and smoked, alongside local food, natural-fibre and craft stalls. The maritime historian Mike Smylie brings his Kipperland exhibition on herring history and smokes kippers and bloaters for sale. Flaxland demonstrates flax processing and runs a net-making competition, and there is live music, free face painting and children's activities.
