A free weekend showcase of more than 30 local food and drink producers in Bangor's Castle Park, held alongside the Chilli Festival.

Taste Ards and North Down at Bangor Castle is a speciality food and drink showcase in the grounds of Bangor Castle. More than 30 local producers take part, with food demos from local chefs, foodie talks and live music. In 2026 it included a live recording of the Love Food NI podcast on the Saturday and producer conversations on the Sunday.

The Chilli Festival runs the same weekend a short walk away in the Bangor Castle Walled Garden. It has a display of chilli plants grown in the borough, meet-the-maker stalls, children's nature activities, music and dancing. Both are free and together form the finale of the council's Taste Autumn programme.
