2027 dates not announced yet — usually in September
Arbroath harbour and the Signal Tower Museum area, Arbroath, Angus · Scotland

A free afternoon festival at Arbroath harbour celebrating the Arbroath Smokie, the town's famous smoked haddock.
SmokieFest celebrates the Arbroath Smokie, the smoked haddock made in the town. Visitors can wander the harbour and the old 'Fit o' the Toon' fishing quarter to see and smell the smokehouses, watch chef demonstrations from WeeCook, and browse street food, local producers and crafters.
There are sea shanty workshops and appearances from the Auchmithie Haar, a group keeping east-coast fishing heritage alive. In 2026 there were also a guided Arbroath history walk and boat trips from the harbour, both booked separately.
Entry is free with a pre-booked ticket. It is run by Appetite for Angus, the regional food and drink network, and in 2026 it fell within the Taste of Angus festival.
