A summer seafront food festival in Seaham with around 150 traders and a line-up of TV chef demonstrations.

Durham County Council's summer food festival sets up on Seaham's seafront for a weekend in early August, with around 150 traders selling food, drink and goods.

TV chefs give live demonstrations (Matt Tebbutt headlined in 2026), and there is live music from North East artists, family theatre, storytelling, workshops and outdoor performances.

Park and ride buses run from Spectrum Business Park and Doxford International Business Park (£2.50 adults, 50p children in 2026). Terrace Green car park closes for the festival, and Seaham station is about a 13-minute walk away.
