A weekend celebration of British pies and artisan spirits in Melton Mowbray, home of the pork pie.

Melton Mowbray, home of the pork pie, hosts this weekend celebration of British pie-making paired with artisan spirits at its livestock market. Stands offer hot and cold, sweet and savoury pies - meat, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free - including from British Pie Awards supreme champions, alongside gin, rum, cider, beer and wine.

The theatre programme has included a light-hearted history of pies, a demonstration of hand-raising a Melton Mowbray pork pie and a gin-making demonstration. Free adult pork-pie raising workshops (limited places, booked in advance) and drop-in children's fruit-pie workshops run each day, with street food and live entertainment.

The venue is step-free with disabled parking by Gate 4 on Scalford Road, a large free car park and a railway station within walking distance of the town centre. Dogs are not allowed except assistance dogs, and last entry is 3.30pm.
