A weekend in Kirkwall showcasing Orkney's island larder, with celebrity and local chef demos, tastings and producer stalls.

Orkney Food & Drink Festival celebrates produce from the islands. It is run by Orkney Food and Drink, the membership body for local producers that trades as Taste of Orkney. The first festival, in September 2025, was headlined by James Martin, with appearances from MasterChef 2024 winner Brin Pirathapan and Bake Off 2023 winner Matty Edgell.

The weekend is based mainly at Kirkwall Grammar School and the Orkney Theatre. It includes cookery demonstrations, question-and-answer sessions, tastings, food and drink experiences, and stalls where producers sell their goods. Restaurants, cafés and bars around Orkney also offer festival menus and deals.
