A live-fire cooking festival at Tobacco Dock where invited chefs each cook one dish over wood or charcoal.

Meatopia began in New York and came to London in 2013. Up to 75 chefs take part over the weekend, each cooking one dish over wood or charcoal, and every day has its own menu of 20 to 30 dishes. Visitors buy dishes with the festival's own tokens, called MeatBucks.

There are several bars, live bands and DJs. The Thursday evening session is for over-18s only; child tickets are limited and must be bought with an adult ticket. The event is cashless and only guide dogs are allowed.

Tobacco Dock is at Wapping Lane and Pennington Street, a short walk from Shadwell and Wapping stations. The organisers say the menu is meat-heavy and not ideal for vegetarians or vegans.
