A large undercover regional food festival in Melton Mowbray's livestock market halls, strong on cheese, pies and charcuterie.

Held entirely under cover in the stockyard halls of Melton Mowbray's livestock market, this weekend festival showcases producers from across the East Midlands and further afield. It is known for artisan cheese, pork pies, charcuterie and chocolate, with many stallholders offering tasters, and drinks makers range from cider and beer to gin and whisky.

Local chefs cook with festival ingredients in a Food Theatre, children's workshops cover chocolate, butter and pie making, and a gospel choir and folk musicians provide entertainment. Street food traders are outside. 2026 was the 22nd festival; the organisers note that the New York Times picked it in 2018 as one of five interesting festivals worldwide.

The venue is step-free with disabled parking by Gate 4 on Scalford Road, a large free car park and a railway station within walking distance of the town centre. Dogs are not allowed except assistance dogs, and last entry is 3.30pm.
