A November chocolate festival in Melton Mowbray's livestock market halls, with chocolate stalls, talks, demos and kids' workshops.

Billed by its organisers as one of the UK's largest chocolate festivals, ChocFest fills the halls of Melton Mowbray's livestock market with all things chocolate - cakes, brownies, truffles, pastries, liqueurs and hot chocolate, as well as more unusual ideas such as chocolate pizza, beer and kebabs. Street food is on offer too.

A Chocolate Theatre hosts talks and demonstrations - recent programmes have included a history of chocolate from a food historian and demonstrations by an international chocolatier - and children can make chocolate lollies in short paid workshops.

The venue is step-free with disabled parking by Gate 4 on Scalford Road, a large free car park and a railway station within walking distance of the town centre. Dogs are not allowed except assistance dogs, and last entry is 3.30pm.
