A weekend cheese fair in Melton Mowbray with around 40-50 artisan cheesemakers from the UK and Ireland.

Billed by its organisers as the UK's largest dedicated cheese fair, this weekend event brings around 40-50 artisan cheesemakers from across the UK and Ireland - making some 200 cheeses between them - to Melton Mowbray's livestock market over the late spring bank holiday. The 2025 line-up included Stilton makers from Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire as well as cheesemakers from Somerset, Suffolk, Lancashire and Ireland.

Other stalls sell wine, spirits, pies, cider, cakes and beer, and there is hot street food, tutored tastings, a food theatre, entertainment and workshops, including cheesemaking and butter-making for children.

The venue is step-free with disabled parking by Gate 4 on Scalford Road, a large free car park and a railway station within walking distance of the town centre. Dogs are not allowed except assistance dogs, and last entry is 3.30pm.
